We are pleased to announce that ART in CASO, the first art fair at Contemporary Art Space Osaka will be held from April 25, 2002. ART in CASO will aim at being the dymanic meeting place of people, information and business from in and out of Kansai and of Japan. "Portal" signifies the open place of acknowledgment, circulation and release of contemporary art.
The first ART in CASO will be participated by 16 devoted contemporary art galleries in Japan, and art dealers and publishers from in and out of Japan. We aim at promoting the trade of contemporary art and constructing the wider net-work as well as exhibiting and selling art works; it will be a high quality art fair representing the importance and attraction of contemporary art.
The gallery spaces CASO is a more than 30 years' old warehouse near Osaka Bay which has been renovated and reborn as a contemporary art space. It has the high ceiling ( 5.3m at the lowest and 8m at the highest) and plain concrete floor which makes a perfect venue.
