第4回目のアートフェア「ART in CASO/OSAKA 2006」が開催される事を皆様にお伝えすることは大変光栄に存じます。コンテンポラリーアートは国内だけに限らず、国際的な動向の中で評価され日本人アーティストも海外の美術館、ギャラリーでも取り上げられることが日常的になり、益々ボーダレスの世界が構築されているのが現状です。それらの現象は日本美術市場にも影響を与え、日本のギャラリーは海外アーティストの紹介だけにとどまらず日本のアーティストを国際的な場に紹介することを使命として活動することを求められております。本年は、国内外で精力的に活動する日本の19ギャラリーに加え、韓国から2ギャラリーの参加があり、過去最大規模となります。また各種イベントを取り揃えております。アジアの美術市場や人的交流でのネットワーク構築も広く視野に入れた、活力ある“質”の高いアートフェアとして、現代美術のあり方、魅力を強く提示できることと確信いたしております。

ART in CASO実行委員会
It is a great honor for us to announce the opening
of the 4th art fair, "ART in CASO / OSAKA 2006". Japanese contemporary
artists have become highly regarded both in Japan and abroad and
it is quite common for galleries and museums around the world to
feature thier works. This breaks down borders within the art world
and has huge impact on the Japanese art market itself. Nowadays
not only do Japanese galleries introduce foreign artists to Japan
but they also believe that presenting Japanese artists to the world
is an important mission. This year, "ART in CASO / OSAKA 2006" becomes
bigger than ever in scale: 2 top galleries from Korea join with
19 leading Japanese galleries. Further more there are also various
interesting programs concerning the exhibitions on the site. We
believe that this fair provides an opportunity to help the development
of the Asian art market and at the same time builds a strong network.
We hope that this fair offers great value to all our visitors and
is able to show effectively the attraction and meaning of contemporary
art.
