渡辺 信子
Nobuko Watanabe
枠に単色、あるいはストライプ柄の綿布を張り、きわめて簡素な構造からなる作品の制作を、1997年頃より開始する。 布の張力によって生み出された美しい曲面は表面の内側に入り込み、豊かな色彩の世界から作品の深い内面部へと鑑賞者を誘う。
現在は大阪に拠点を置きながらドイツ、フランス、韓国などでも精力的に発表を行っている。
She started her simple structured works which consists of cotton fabric and wood frames back in 1997. The tension of the fabric stretched on the frame creates beautiful curved surfaces which invites the viewer's eyes to go from the colorful surface to the inside of the structure.
Currently Nobuko lives and works in Osaka, Japan. She holds her exhibitions around the world including Germany, France, and South Korea.
