世界が揺らいだ2020年、作家は自己と向き合い何を表現するのか？
今ここでしか見られない豪華10組が「セルフポートレート」に挑むグループ展


1年を締めくくるギャラリーノマル恒例のグループ展、今回のテーマは「セルフポートレート」。

稲垣元則, 今村源, 上田佳奈, 田中朝子, 張騰遠, ドットエス, 中原浩大, 名和晃平, 松井智恵, 山田千尋という、若手から大御所まで個性豊かな作家10組が、自由な解釈で各々の「セルフポートレート」を提示します。
コロナ禍によって世界のあらゆるものが揺らいだ2020年。今、作家たちは自己と向き合い何を表現するのでしょうか。
ここでしか見られない作家たちの豪華共演、是非ともご高覧くださいますようよろしくお願い致します。

なお、.es (ドットエス：橋本孝之 & sara)は、今展に以前のライブでの林聡とのコラボレーション音源をアルバムとして出展予定のため、会期中の11月21日にこの3名によるライブ・パフォーマンスが行われます。

テーマはセルフポートレート、文字通りセルフポートレートでもいいし又はセルフポートレートをテーマにした作品でもいい。 セルフポートレートというとそれは自己というものが付きまとい非常に難しいテーマと思われますが、アートの新しい価値観のひとつとしてアーティストが自己について考える必要があると思いました。 自身のセルフポートレートでもいいですしセルフポートレートをテーマにした作品でも構いません。アーティストの存在証明が価値を生むかというと難しく言い過ぎのような気がしますが、そのようなことを考えています。
作品の後ろにいる作家そのものをどのように問題にするか、それぞれの10人の作家のセルフポートレート展。

In this fluctuated 2020, what is artists pursuing to express and represent?
The special group exhibition of “Self Portrait” in Gallery Nomart.

Gallery nomart’s individual group exhibition will be held around the theme of “Self Portrait”at the end of this year.

10 groups of artists range from young artists to veterans including Asako Tanaka, Chang Tang-yuan, Chie Matsui, Chihiro Yamada, Hajime Imamura, Kana Ueda, Kodai Nakahara, Kohei Nawa, Motonori Inagaki, .es (Takayuki Hashimoto & sara), who hold the different styles of art, will join in this exhibition to represent their own “Self Portraits”.
In this year，the whole world is fluctuated by COVID-19. During this special period，what is artists pursuing to express and represent？
Please pay attention to this gorgeous co-starring that can be only seen at Gallery Nomart.

In addition, a performance will be offered by es（Takayuki Hashimoto & sara）and Satoshi Hayashion on November 21 for the exhibition,and the sound resource collaborated with Satoshi Hayashi will be one of the exhibitors.

The theme of “Self Portrait”, as the meaning of the phrase itself, the artworks can be the portraits of the artists themselves or about the theme of self portrait. This is not an easy theme to consider because it associated with concept of “self”, but for me, it is worth to think about as a new value of art.
No matter the work is a self portrait or about self portrait, it sounds exaggerated way to say, but in my view, this approach would be something to prove the artists’ value of existence.
How do the artists who are behind the works become a question to discuss？ The answer is waiting for you to find in this exhibition.
