"作る楽しさ、見る刺激、購入する喜び" を共に ー Nomart Editions Published Works

1989年から現在に至るまで、現代美術作家と共に1,000点を超えるエディション＆マルチプル作品を世に送り出してきた「版画工房ノマルエディション」。作家とのコミュニケーションの中から紡ぎ出された自由で独創的なアイデアと、試行錯誤の繰り返しから磨き上げられた技術力で、"この場所"からしか生まれ得ない作品を数多く制作してきました。

そのメインとなるのはシルクスクリーンプリントによる版画作品。これまで版画制作を専門とする作家はもとより、彫刻家や画家、写真家などとも表現手法の垣根を超えて、各人の専門性を反映させたアイデアとスクリーンプリントならではの表現を掛け合わせたユニークな作品を作り出してきました。
またもう1つの特徴として上げられるのは、マルチプル作品の制作。こちらはその素材、技法は様々。時にはデジタルメディアを駆使しながらも最終的には手仕事による細かな造作を重ね、こちらも幾多の作品が生み出されてきました。

Treasure
2021年、上記幾多の作品の中より14名の作家、計36点の作品を厳選し展示した展覧会「Treasure 1」を開催いたしました。このタイトルは昨年11月に急逝したディレクター・林によるもの。1点1点に思い入れのある作品を「Treasure 宝石」にたとえ、"作る楽しさ、見る刺激、購入する喜び"を鑑賞者と共有する展覧会を標榜しました。
今展はその企画の第二弾。今回は主に近年制作した作品の中より、藤本由紀夫、中原浩大、今村源、名和晃平、以上4名の作家と共に作り出した作品を特集してご紹介します。この4名は2014年に開催した企画展「Speaking Sculpture」と同じ顔合わせ。いずれも関西を拠点に長年制作活動を続けている国内を代表する作家たちです。出品作品の中は過去には美術館でしか発表されていないものも。また今展に合わせて制作を進めている新作も発表を予定しています。

"The Joy of Creating, the Stimulation of Viewing, the Pleasure of Collecting" — Nomart Editions Published Works

Since 1989, Nomart Editions has collaborated with contemporary artists to produce over 1,000 edition and multiple works. Through open communication with artists, we have cultivated bold and original ideas, refining our techniques through continuous experimentation. The result is a collection of works that could only be born from this space.

At the core of our practice are screen print editions, developed not only with printmaking specialists but also with sculptors, painters, and photographers. By integrating their expertise with the expressive potential of screen printing, we have created unique and innovative works.

Another key feature of our work is the creation of multiple editions, produced using diverse materials and techniques. While sometimes incorporating digital media, these works always involve meticulous handcrafting, resulting in a collection of finely crafted pieces.

Treasure
In 2021, we hosted Treasure 1, an exhibition featuring 36 carefully selected works by 14 artists. The title was conceived by our late director, Hayashi, who passed away in November of that year. He likened each work to a "treasure"—a precious gem—aspiring to share with audiences the joy of creating, the stimulation of viewing, and the pleasure of collecting.

This exhibition is the second installment of that project, focusing on works by four distinguished artists: Yukio Fujimoto, Kodai Nakahara, Hajime Imamura, and Kohei Nawa. This lineup mirrors our 2014 exhibition "Speaking Sculpture", bringing together four of Japan’s most prominent artists, each of whom has been actively creating in the Kansai region for decades. The show will feature pieces that have previously only been exhibited in museums, as well as brand-new works created specifically for this occasion.

Breaking free from conventional notions of printmaking and multiples, this exhibition presents a collection of works rich in creativity and playfulness. We invite you to experience this unique opportunity and discover the captivating world of Nomart Editions.
