ノマルのコンセプト「SENSES COMPLEX」を掲げ、新時代へ踏み出す特別なグループ展
領域を超えた10名の化学反応が、すべての感覚を響き合わせる

2024年末の前ディレクターの急逝を経て、新体制で走り出したノマルの2025年を締めくくる今回のグループ展は、ノマルのコンセプトである「SENSES COMPLEX」へと立ち返ります。美術を中心に、音楽やデザイン、文学など領域を横断する表現を発信し続けてきた私たちの姿勢を象徴するこのテーマのもと、多様な10名の作家が集いました。

ノマル馴染みの今村源 、名和晃平、稲垣元則、藤本由紀夫と大島成己（約10年ぶりの新作参加）といったベテラン作家から、近年活躍目覚ましく、今年ノマルで初個展を開催した上田佳奈と池上恵一、ノマル所属唯一の音楽家である.es（ドットエス）のsara、美術評論家であり詩人の建畠晢、そして今回ノマル初参加となる梅津庸一が名を連ねます。多様な表現、強い個性の化学反応にご注目ください。
会場内には、絵画、彫刻、映像、音響など、五感を刺激する新作のほか、詩人による詩集や音楽家のピアノも設置予定。
さらに会期中には、国内外のアーティストとsara(.es)との音楽によるコラボレーション・パフォーマンスを3回実施予定。展示空間からインスピレーションを受けた、ここでしか体験できない表現との出会いをお楽しみください。

“五感を超えて、感覚が交差・拡散する地点”としてのノマルの現在を提示する本展を、ぜひ全身でご体感いただけましたら幸いです。

SENSES COMPLEX展に寄せて

恒例ともいえる年末のグループ展、今年のテーマは「SENSES COMPLEX」。
これは10年前から表明している、ノマルのコンセプトでもある。

五感を超えて､感覚が交差・拡散する地点。

“創造とは､すべての感覚が関連しあっている”
その基本から､アート､サウンド､デザインを軸に独自のもの創りを追求ーそれがNOMARTです。

2024年11月に前ディレクター林聡が急逝。2025年は「NEO NOMART」を合言葉にスタッフ一同歩んできた。
林さん不在での展覧会進行（ノマル初個展作家が4名）、版画制作、ようやくペースが掴めた一年。
そんな中「SENSES COMPLEX」は、改めてノマルの源となる言葉だと感じるようになり、グループ展のテーマとした。
そんなわけで「SENSES COMPLEX」展は8名の美術作家、建畠晢（詩人）、sara（.es /ピアニスト）の10名によるグループ展でニューフェイスも加わる。
新体制で迎えた2025年の、良き締めくくりになると確信している。

出展作家へは、
表現を限定しない。とらわれない。全感覚をひらく。自由に。高次元の直感でー！
できれば、ご自身にとっての「初」や「実験」や「チャレンジ」を楽しんでもらえたらーとの呼びかけをした。

A Special Group Exhibition Embodying Nomart’s Concept “SENSES COMPLEX” — Stepping into a New Era
The creative chemistry of ten cross-disciplinary artists resonates through every sense.

Following the sudden passing of our former director at the end of 2024, Nomart has entered a new chapter under its new structure. This year-end group exhibition marks the culmination of 2025 by returning to our concept, “SENSES COMPLEX.” Rooted in art yet expanding across music, design, and literature, this theme symbolizes Nomart’s enduring pursuit of expression that transcends boundaries. Under its banner, ten diverse artists come together.

The lineup includes long-time Nomart collaborators Hajime Imamura, Kohei Nawa, Motonori Inagaki, Yukio Fujimoto, and Naruki Oshima—the latter presenting new work with us for the first time in about ten years—alongside Kana Ueda and Keiichi Ikegami, who have received growing acclaim in recent years and held their first solo exhibitions at Nomart this year. Joining them are sara from .es (dot es), Nomart’s only musician; Akira Takahata, art critic and poet; and Yoichi Umetsu, participating with Nomart for the first time. Witness the chemistry that emerges as diverse expressions and personalities intersect.
The exhibition space features new works that engage all five senses—paintings, sculptures, video, and sound—along with a poetry collection and piano installation by the participating poet and musician.
During the exhibition, three live performances are scheduled, in which sara (.es) will collaborate musically with artists from Japan and abroad. Each performance will offer a unique encounter, inspired by the exhibition’s atmosphere and context.

We hope you will experience this exhibition with your whole being, which presents Nomart today “at the point where all the senses cross and spread beyond our senses”.

On the Occasion of the “SENSES COMPLEX” Exhibition

Our annual year-end group exhibition this year takes the theme “SENSES COMPLEX,” a concept that has also been central to Nomart’s philosophy for the past ten years.

At the point where all the senses cross and spread beyond our senses

This is our principle on which we are searching for something special in the fields of art, sound and design.
Thus stands NOMART (Nomart, Inc.) at the point.

In November 2024, our former director Satoshi Hayashi passed away suddenly. Throughout 2025, under the motto “NEO NOMART,” the staff have continued moving forward together. Despite the absence of Mr. Hayashi, we successfully managed exhibitions—including four artists’ first solo shows at Nomart—printmaking projects, and gradually found our rhythm over the year.
Amid these experiences, the phrase “SENSES COMPLEX” came to feel more than ever like the source of Nomart itself, and we chose it as the theme for this group exhibition.

This year’s “SENSES COMPLEX” exhibition brings together eight contemporary artists, along with Akira Takahata (poet) and sara (.es / pianist), forming a group of ten, including new faces.
We are confident it will serve as a fitting conclusion to Nomart’s first year under its new structure.

To the participating artists, we encouraged:
Do not limit your expression. Do not be constrained. Open all your senses. Work freely, guided by your highest intuition. Above all, we hope they will enjoy their own “firsts,” “experiments”, and “challenges”.

As we wrap up NEO NOMART and look ahead to the new Nomart, we sincerely hope this exhibition will herald exciting possibilities.
