強烈な色彩の渦と、狂喜乱舞するイマジネーションの世界
韮澤アスカ、ギャラリーノマルでのデビュー展

東京藝術大学で油画と版画を学び、卒業後は世界を旅してその土地土地の暮らしや文化にインスピレーションを受けながら制作を重ねてきた、作家・韮澤アスカ。
2016年初旬、韮澤のポートフォリオを見たギャラリーディレクターの林聡がその色彩と作風に惚れ込み個展開催が決定。同年夏に大阪で行われた現代美術のアートフェア「ART OSAKA 2016」では、ギャラリーノマルブースにて今展に先駆け個展形式で“七つの大罪”をテーマにしたノマルとのコラボ作品を発表。細密に計算された色相と執拗なまでに反復と拡張を繰り返す描画、豊かなストーリー性で来場者から高い注目を集めました。


南アフリカで得たインスピレーションをもとに描き出す、
根源的な生命のエネルギー

満を持して開催される本展では、2016年夏から約半年間にわたる南アフリカでの滞在制作をベースにした新作のペインティング作品を発表いたします。
極彩色のアフリカン・ファブリックに囲われたモティーフの画像に描画を施し、現実と虚像の境が失われるほどに複雑にレイヤーを重ねながら立ち現れるイメージは、生命の持つ根源的なエネルギーをヴィヴィッドな色彩で具現化します。
さらに会場の壁面一部には、作品で使用されているファブリックによるインスタレーションを展開。イメージと共鳴する空間の中で作品をご体感いただけます。

作家コメント

「生」を感じる為の有効な手段とは、対極の「死」を感じる事ではないかと思う。
私はいつもその「死」の“かけら”を探し歩いてきた。それこそがインド、ヨーロッパ、アフリカ等で生活し制作に向かわせた動機である、とふと考える。今回の展示「ORIGIN」の空間のイメージは、私が探し求める「生／死」への憧憬に近いものだ。
まず眼前に強烈な色彩が飛び込む。そして視線は細胞の様に半透明でぷくっと膨らんだ小さな円の集合体から始まり、やがて躍り狂うアフリカンカラーの円に誘導されていく。そして空間全体へと繋がりエネルギーのうねりへと向かう。最終的にはまた細かな細胞へと再び立ち戻る事で、部屋全体が宇宙空間となる。

ここでは色彩と触感を知覚する網膜こそが最も有効な器官となるだろう。
森羅万象を讃え、鑑賞者を異次元へと連れていきたい。

Asuka Nirasawa is an artist studied oil painting and pint in the Tokyo University of Arts, and has been creating her works by the inspirations of the various lifestyles and cultures when she was traveling around the world after graduation.
At the beginning of 2016, the art director Satoshi Hayashi met her works and was fascinated with the her colors and style. He finally decided to hold her solo exhibition at Gallery Nomart. The same year on the art fair “ART OSAKA 2016”, she presented her collaborative works with Nomart on the theme of “The seven deadly sins”at Gallery Nomart booth, which was ahead of the solo exhibition at Gallery Nomart.
The meticulously calculated hues, the relentless repetition and expansion of drawing, the rich narrative drew a lot of attention from the visitors.


Based on the inspirations from South Africa.
the energy of primordial life.

On the exhibition held at a excellent point of time, the new series of paintings which produced in half of years from the summer of 2016 in South Africa were on display.
Depicting on the pictures with the motifs of richly colored African fabric, the images emerge, layered so intricately that the boundary between reality and imagination is lost, embody the original energy of life in vivid colors.
Furthermore, there will be an installation of fabric used in the works on the part of wall of venue. You can enjoy the works in the space that is resonated with images.

[Artist Statement]

I believe that an effective way to feel “life” is to feel “death” , which is the opposite of life.
I have always walked around and looking for “pieces” of death. This is what motivated me to live and work in India, Europe and Africa. The final image of the space in this exhibition, “ORIGIN”, is close to my longing for the “life/death” that I seek.
The first thing striking the most is the intense color. The eye is then led to a collection of small, translucent, puffy circles, like cells, and then to a circle of vibrant African colors. Then, it connects to the whole space and heads towards the peak of energy. In the end, our sight return to the small cells again, and the whole room becomes a cosmic space.

The retina , which perceives color and touch, will be the most effective organ here.
I want to praise the whole world and take viewers to another dimension.
